Hybrid Hackathon

Embark on a coding odyssey at HackDUCS – Delhi University's epic hackathon where ideas evolve, friendships form, and innovation takes centre stage!

For the first time at the University of Delhi, the Department of Computer Science is organizing HackDUCS, a hybrid inter-college hackathon as part of its 20th Annual TechFest - Sankalan 2024.

Event Schedule - all times in IST

DAY 0

  • 11:00 AM - Registrations Closed
  • 12:00 PM - Tracks Released

DAY 1

  • 12:00 PM - Presentation Submissions Due
  • 12:30 PM - Presentation Order Communicated
  • 01:00 PM - Preliminary Presentations Begin on GMeet/Zoom
  • 05:00 PM - Preliminary Presentations End
  • 07:00 PM - Results of Preliminary Round Declared
  • 08:00 PM - Instructions Communicated to Semi Finalist Teams

DAY 2 (Sankalan Day 1)

  • 09:00 AM - Offline Reporting (as feasible) and Disbursement of Event Kits
  • 10:00 AM - Inauguration and Workshop / Keynote - Hacking Begins

DAY 3 (Sankalan Day 2)

  • 09:00 AM - Offline Reporting
  • 10:00 AM - Prototype Demonstrations Begin (Hybrid)
  • 11:30 AM - Prototype Demonstrations End
  • 12:00 PM - Results of Demonstrations Declared and Communicated to Finalist Teams
  • 03:00 PM - Final Presentations Begin (Hybrid)
  • 05:00 PM - Final Presentations End
  • 05:30 PM - Results of Final Presentations / Winners Declared
  • 06:00 PM - Prize Disbursement Formalities

  • Eligibility: College/University Students; Team Size: 2-4; Cross-college teams allowed
  • Tracks will be released on Day 0 at 12:00 PM.
  • Development must start after release of tracks.
  • Projects submitted to other hackathons will not be considered.
  • Plagiarism will lead to disqualification.
  • Preliminary Presentations:
  • Online presentations on Google Meet / Zoom.
  • Time Limit: 12-15 mins (8 mins + questions)
  • Slides: Maximum of 12 slides; Formats: .pptx, .pdf
  • Maximum of 5 teams from each track will be selected for demos
  • Final Prototype Demos:
  • In-person project demonstration at event venue. Time Limit: 12-15 mins
  • Project must be submitted on Devfolio before the presentation begins.
  • Project source code must be hosted on a public repository on GitHub.
  • Short video demo needs to be uploaded on YouTube and submitted on Devfolio.
  • 10 teams qualify for Final Presentations
  • Final Presentations:
  • No Time Limit 🙂
  • In-person presentation at event venue.
  • Qualified teams must arrange for travel and accommodation.
  • Food and beverages will be provided as part of the parent event.
