Painting Competition

The University of Delhi, the Department of Computer Science, presents Painting/Art competition ARTISAN VALLEY on occasion of 20th annual fest SANKALN’24 Artisan Valley is a celebration of creativity and craftsmanship, providing a platform for artists to showcase their diverse talents. This event aims to bring together a community of artisans, fostering a vibrant atmosphere of appreciation and collaboration. Participants will have the opportunity to exhibit their artworks, connect with fellow creators, and engage with an audience eager to explore the rich tapestry of artistic expression.

Pool Prize: INR 3,500

  • The competition is open to all college students. Students from all disciplines are encouraged to participate.
  • Participants must adhere to ethical standards and copyright laws in creating their artworks.
  • Any form of plagiarism or infringement will result in disqualification.
  • Respectful behaviour towards fellow participants, judges, and event staff is expected at all times.
  • Submission Guidelines (First Round):
  • Each participant must submit 2 original paintings for the first round of the competition.
  • Paintings can be in any medium such as oil, acrylic, water-color, or mixed media.
  • The theme for the paintings is open, allowing participants to showcase their creativity and style.
  • All entries must be submitted on Google Form by April 18, 2024 08:00 PM. Late submissions will not be accepted.
  • Artworks Selection for Exhibition:
  • Instruction will be reported to selected participants for the Offline submission of paintings.
  • The selected participant’s paintings will be exhibited for public viewing for both the days of SANKALAN.
  • Participants have the option to tag a price for their artwork if they wish to sell it during the exhibition.
  • Competition Round (Second Round):
  • Theme will be declared on the spot. Participants can use their Mobile phones for inspiration but work must be of their own.
  • Participants will have a specified time to create a new artwork based on the given theme.
  • A3/A4-size sheets will be provided by the department for the competition.
  • Participants must bring their own art supplies and materials for the competition round.
  • Result will be announced after lunch.
  • Prizes will be awarded to winners.
